Propolis is a thermoplastic mixture primarily composed of resins and wax. It also contains pollen, essential oils, and bee secretions. The base material for propolis (resins and balsams) is collected by bees as a resinous substance from the buds and wounds of various trees and then mixed with wax, pollen, essential oils from flower buds, and saliva secretions (enzymes).
