Food supplement designed to combat macular degeneration. Each capsule of EFICAPS® Vision Protect contains 4 tablets: • TABLET 1 OF IMMEDIATE RELEASE (GREY COLOUR) Contains Zinc and Cooper both immediate released. Zinc and copper are essential trace metals that are concentrated in the photoreceptors and the retinal pigment epithelium of the human eye. Are cofactors in several ocular enzymes, as a part of the primary antioxidant system used to regulate oxidative stress. • TABLET 2 AND 3 OF IMMEDIATE RELEASE (ORANGE COLOUR) Scientific studies have evidenced the importance of only two carotenoids in eye health Lutein & Zeaxanthin, which are selectively accumulated in the human retina and their concentration is so high in the macula. The two functions of Lutein and Zeaxanthin are: First, they filter out damaging ultraviolet blue light. Second, they protect against oxidative damage by quenching free radicals in the eye. • TABLET 4 OF SUSTAINED RELEASE (RED COLOUR) Astaxanthin serves as an extremely powerful antioxidant. Animal cell culture studies have also indicated that astaxanthin can ameliorate age-related macular degeneration. FOOD SUPPLEMENT Shelf life: 3 years.
