Information

Understanding metabolic function is key to designing solutions for healthy ageing. Post-meal metabolic responses, such as glucose, insulin, and lipid handling, are early indicators of chronic conditions like type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Strengthening metabolic resilience from early adulthood offers an opportunity to influence health trajectories and drive innovations that optimise energy regulation and nutrient processing.

This session will explore findings from the ZOE PREDICT programme, focusing on individual variability in responses to food. We will examine how factors like the gut microbiome, meal composition, sleep, and lifestyle shape metabolic health. Using emerging science and data, we will highlight how personalised approaches can improve long-term health and support healthier ageing.
