New formulations featuring plant-derived extracellular vesicles, specifically exosomes or exosome-like vesicles sourced from plant matrices, will be introduced for applications in nutraceuticals, cosmetics, microbiota modulation, and enhanced human well-being. Plant-derived exosomes, also referred to as plant-derived exosome-like nanovesicles (PDEN), present several benefits over their animal-derived counterparts.
