Information

New formulations featuring plant-derived extracellular vesicles, specifically exosomes or exosome-like vesicles sourced from plant matrices, will be introduced for applications in nutraceuticals, cosmetics, microbiota modulation, and enhanced human well-being. Plant-derived exosomes, also referred to as plant-derived exosome-like nanovesicles (PDEN), present several benefits over their animal-derived counterparts. These benefits include high biocompatibility, a reduced risk of immunogenicity, stability within the gastrointestinal environment, scalable production, sustainable sourcing, and the absence of ethical concerns linked to animal-derived materials. These attributes make plant-derived exosomes particularly well-suited for nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and biomedical applications.
